My Gilmore Girls website has its very own domain. I've never had a domain before, so this is exciting news for me. I want to thank the generous Rajiv at eFanGuide for this opportunity. My website, especially my forum, has been going very well during the past year. It means a lot to me that he felt that my website deserved it.

This new domain got me thinking. I've had issues with domain websites for a while. I get the feeling that people judge the quality of a website depending on if they have a domain or not. It's frustrating when some new website, without much original content, receives 3 times more visitors that your 5-year-old website with loads of original content. Worst than that, they look down on you when you ask for affiliation. I've seen websites that don't even consider affiliation with non-domain websites. That's just plain ridiculous.

I mean, it's a fact of life. We do judge books by their covers, we care about appearances, even though they can be deceiving. So it is with websites. I do it too, to be honnest. But I discovered that it can be deceiving. I've seen loads of crappy websites who have their own domain. That being said, there are a lot of amazing domain websites. I just wonder if this name change will affect my website's popularity? That will be interesting to see. I'll contact other websites soon to announce the address change and see how that goes.

Grey
It's grey outside. It's seems like it's been grey for days. I don't remember the last time I saw a ray of sunshine. We had snow yesterday, rain today. I miss the summer. Those days when I read my Harry Potter around the pool. My tan is gone. I'm telling you, I'm like those solar calculators. I'm at my best under the sun.

Est-ce que tu as rebaptisé ton site "Gilmore Memories" ou garde-t-il le même nom qu'avant(Little Corner of the World)?

J'aime mon "Little Corner of the World"... c'est le nom qui a inspiré le site. Je l'ai pris de la chanson qui a joué la 1e saison, ds le 1er et dernier episode. C'était avant qu'ils sortent le soundtrack du même nom. C'est moi qui avait eu l'idée originalement! :)

Eh oui, on dirait que j'ai quitté le nid familial... bien celui virtuel en tout cas.

Ahh...I see!! J'adore cette chanson, surtout dans la finale, quand Lorelai et Rory se rencontrent dans le Town Square. Et le titre est vraiment bien adapté à ton site, il lui va comme un gant! lol ;)
