January Update
1/07/2006 11:48:00 AM

The semester has just started two days ago and I'm already feeling stressed. It's not really my classes that worry me (even though I already have 11 novels to read this semester!). Recently, my thoughts are on a french exam I have to write in exactly one week. I have to completely pass this exam to be able to teach français in grades 7-10. It's not the end of the world if I don't pass it completely. Those who partialy pass the exam have to take a french class during their year at the Faculty of Education. However, they can not teach français. This is why I decided to take English literature classes. If I don't completely pass my french exam, I'll still be able to teach English in grades 7-10. Still, I really want to teach français, so I'll be putting a lot of effort into preparation for this exam (which I was supposed to do during the Christmas break).

What stresses me out is when I tell myself that I'll accomplish certain things, but end up not doing them all. I usually put too much on my plate. Other than my french exam, I've been thinking about a future plan, which remains a secret to all my entourage. It's been consuming a lot of my energy. Finally, I really want to finish Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix before I start reading (all 11 novels) for my classes. I know this shouldn't stress me, because I'm re-reading it for fun. However, I don't want to set it aside unfinished. I have about 100 pages left, I'll try and finish it today.

Coincidence?
After hearing "Friday I'm In Love" by The Cure on the radio this week, I started downloding a bunch of their songs. I love "Just Like Heaven"... and prefer their 80s stuff. What is bizarre is that last night, while eating dinner, I turned the TV on at MuchMoreMusic. What was playing you ask? A Biography of none other than The Cure. [Edit: I just found out that they have a song called "A Letter To Elise". Wow.]

New: I decided to add a Favourite's List.

Thanks to Jazzy, Kass and Rachel for all the kind words and wishes for the new year.
