out of my head - elise's journal

How do you name a post that conains bits and pieces of the past 2 weeks? I didn't have the energy to think one up, so I came up with "Untitled". Very original isn't it? Hey, if Simple Plan can do it, so can I! hihi.

This have been very hectic around here. The semester has to be one of the most extreme semesters of my University career. Essays to write, novels to read, presentations to prepare... it doesn't end. And things aren't about to get better either. I have the exam schedule from hell. Let me show you:

18 april - 9h30-12h30
19 april - 9h30-12h30
19 avril - 7h00-10h00
20 april - 9h30-12h30

We have a 3 week exam period. Why did mine have to be end up like that? They have a rule that if you have 3 or more in 24 hours, they can move one. Technically, I don't qualify. I've even talked to the big boss when it comes to this, and there's nothing she can do. Come on! My only option is to talk directly to my professors, and convince them to give me the exam on another date. I hope it works out.

Things are going well with that special guy in my life. The hard thing is to balance school and time I spend with him. We have "homework dates" from time to time, just so we can catch up and do work at the same time.

I also have good news. I have been accepted in a summer program at a University in England. I'll be spending 4 weeks there this summer. This is something I have wanted to do during the past couple of years. Things never worked out, until I came accross this perfect opportunity. I am very happy about it.

Everwood starts again next week. It's back in it's original monday timeslot. I ahve a class that night, which means I won't be able to tape the episodes without the commercials (so it's less enjoyable to watch afterwards, and it takes more VHS space). However, I saw that it's airing on wednesdays on the Canadian channel, so I have options. I can't wait for the new episode. I missed the show so much... the last one was in November I think. This might also be the last season; it's not sure if it's comming back on the new CW next fall. It would be too bad, it's such a good show. I think I'll watch the last episode tonight, to get back into the groove.

Atonement by Ian McEwan. I'm reading this novel for an english literature class. It's really good. This is the first time that I genuinely enjoy a novel that is imposed on me for a class. I'm a little more than half way done. So far, it's very well written.

Yup, fall for me. :) It's such a beautiful time of the year in my city, everything is colourful and warming. I need to take some serious photos of this for you to see. Will do. :)

I am glad everything is going well with the guy, you're right. Balancing study and social time is hard sometimes. Especially when you have work as well. It can get hard but hopefully it turns out right.

That exam schedule is crazy indeed. It's also a shame the big faculty boss won't do anything to help. I hope you work tough through it, I think you can but despite that point, hope it is eased for you somehow. Good luck. jaz xxx

Wow... Your exam schedule really does suck! Mais comme tu as tes examens tous d'un coup, elle va être terminée plus rapidement lol (il faut bien essayer de voir le bon côté des choses! ;))

Moi aussi j'ai hâte de voir Everwood, je me demande comment Amy & Ephram vont dealer avec ce qui s'est passé... Et j'ai encore plus hâte de voir Bedford Diaries!! Je me demande comment le public et les critiques vont réagir...

À part ça, eh bien félicitations pour ton summer program en Angleterre! Ça doit être une expérience formidable :)

Je suis contente de voir que ça va bien avec ton amoureux. Des homework dates! C'est original comme concept...et très pratique quand on est surchargés de travail :)
