Fears change, or at least they move around. I am overcome with all sorts of emotions as my departure date approaches. I'm excited, but scared. I'm happy, but sad. I want to go, I want to stay. But overall, I remember at heart why I decided to leave and I feel great. I realized that these pre-departure jitters are normal. Everything is coming in order, with paperwork and bank/money matters. I really have just a few stops to make and few things to buy, and then I'm ready. So I'll be able to spend the next 13 days relaxing and not thinking so much a bout my trip, but enjoy these last few days with my boyfriend, friends and family.

I received my first eBay purchase through the mail today: Sam Phillips "The Indescribable Wow" (1988). This CD is out of print. I've wanted it almost since I discovered Sam Phillips, through Gilmore Girls, in 2000. I decided to take a chance and give eBay... I got successfull results. Excellent CD,a nd I got it cheap.

Merci Kass pour m'avoir suggéré ces films. J'ai le film "Chasing Liberty", et je planifie regarder "Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants" avant mon départ. Ton commentaire m'a également vraiment rassuré. J'aime bien...

Et même si la peur ou la "nostalgie" te prends, souviens-toi que lorsque tu reviendras, rien n'aura changé...Tous tes amis et ta famille vont t'attendre pour que tu leur racontes les moments merveilleux que tu auras passé.

Also thanks to Lynn and Jazzy for the reassuring words. Lynn, I watched "Princess Diaries" (that I own also) after I read your comment. From that movie I also like the quote "Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear."

I really want to create a new layout for my blog, but the moment I get inspired, things never seem to work. I actually wasted a couple of hours yesterday trying to come up with something, playing with photos and designs. No luck. Maybe once I'll come back from my trip I'll be more inspired.

Oh yes they're all duties to do before you leave and indeed, getting them done earlier and leaving a few days to relax and do whatever is the best idea. It'll feel so much better. :)

Oh wow, your first ebay purchase hehe, I think I began ebaying about three years ago but my friend sort of got me into it. I usually deal with the same sellers all the time so I know I can trust them. Its good for bargains definitely. ;)

When do you leave for your trip ? Dont forget to take a lot of photos if and when you get the opportunity. Hehe. jaz xxx

Salut! :) Je suis contente de voir que tout va pour le mieux avec tes préparatifs! Plus que 8 jours! :) J'espère qu'en revenant tu vas nous montrer quelques photos que tu auras prise de ton voyage (et peut-être même en faire un layout!)
