Pants and Trips
6/12/2006 11:58:00 AM

I've been dreaming of visiting Europe for many years. I've been thinking about my trip to England since October. I can't believe it's here. I'm leaving on Thursday. It seems so soon. Well, I shouldn't say that. The feeling you get (a mix of excitement and fear) before you leave for a trip, usually the day or week before, has been with me for the last month. So, in a way, it's about time June 15 got here.

I'm spending as much time as possible with my family and boyfriend. I won't see them for 33 days, so it seems reasonable to do so. I watched "Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants" last week. I also bought the first 2 books (planning on buying the 3rd when it comes out on paperback tomorrow). I'll read them on the plane and during my stay in England, if I have time.

I also got a tour guide book of England, which got me excited. I looked up things I would like to see during my free time. I'll look at it more on the plane or during my first days in England. Getting British money (aka. pounds) made the voyage seem more real. Their money looks pretty. :) I was actually surprised at the resemblence to Canadian money (we also have the Queen on our money); however, the bills are different sizes depending on the amount, which I find original and practical.

I'm mostly relaxing before my departure. I still have a couple of things to buy (power converter, curling iron, pocket mirror) before thursday. I'll start packing on Wednesday. My flight is at 10h40 Thursday night. This is probably my last post before my trip. I might post while I'm in England. If not, I'll give all of you an update (and hopefully with photos) of my trip once I get back on July 19.

Merci/Thanks Jac & Kass. Have a nice month.
