out of my head - elise's journal

A change was needed. I put all my creative energy together - it wasn't easy this time - and created something quite nice. I was looking for a simple yet fresh layout. The real inspiration came when I put all the complicated techniques aside and decided to create a temporary layout. I didn't know I would end up with a new creation. To be honnest, the past layout was too depressing for my taste. This one is simple, which is key. I don't want my thoughts to be cluttered into one tiny box surrounded by blends and too many colours. I want to air out my thoughts, online and offline.

Another change to come is the content of my posts. I want to post more reflections and less day-to-day events. I want a more substancial blog. However, I just had to post this update first. :)

The summer is coming to a close. I worked for a final week at camp, which was unexpected and at the same time amazing. I am glad I went back. I connected again with that side of me that loves to work with children, teach them things and make their day better. I hadn't felt like that the 3 other weeks I had worked during the summer.

University starts again in less than a week. I am starting my formation à l'enseignement (teachers college) on September 5th. I am excited and a little nervous. Things will be different this year. It will be a nice change from the last 4 years I spent working on my undergraduate degrees. It will be more work, but it will be directly related to my future career, which is more motivating.

First I have to say a Happy Belated Birthday for the 16th August. I hope you had a great day! I sure did for my bday! August is the most sweetest month to me... just so relaxed month. I love it. I probably also like it because it brings me to Spring in Australia. Don't worry, Autumn/Fall is a gorgeous month as well! ;)

I like the new layout a lot, I love simple ones that the design doesnt take too much attention away from what is said in the blog, so I think you hit the nail on the head right there. :)

Hey there, oh thats cool, thanks for the bday message. I truly had a terrific week last week, partied a lot. More than I did for any other birthday, which was crazy!

Oh wow, the teaching college sounds very involved. But so worth it. I hope you find it easier than it seems. :) Thats a coincidence that you're going to a wedding for your cousin, I did the same exact thing two weeks ago now, it was also my cousins. Thats cool about your dress too, I love the style of that black one I had, so cute. I hope you have an awesome time and take plenty of photos. I don't think I have ever seen a photo of you. jaz xxx
