Vacation, all I ever wanted...
4/21/2006 02:53:00 PM

It's official, my exams are over. What has proven to be the most demanding semester of my University career has come to an end. No more novels to read, no more essays to write, no more group projects to work on, no more exams to study. It also marks the end of this first "chunk" of studies. I'm done with my bachelor's degree for real now (even though I got my diploma last year and was taking extra classes this year, for extra specification in education). Ahead of me are 5 weeks studying in England, and then a year in education. I have a very busy spring ahead however. I need to get a lot of things ready for the trip to England, as well as for my studies in education next year. I also have an upcoming bake sale at work. Oh, and let's not forget the spring cleaning that I desperately need to do in my room. Let's just say that the dust bunnies aren't a very good thing to keep when you're allergic to dust. lol. I'll get started on that right after this post. I am also looking foward to reading the novels that I want to read, as opposed to those I need to read for school. I picked up Là où la mer commence by Dominique Demers, which I've been wanting to read during the past couple of years. I will also complete the work I have started on my Gilmore Girls website. I am hoping to do most of it before the season finale. I should have some time, since I only start my spring job the first week of May.

The title of my blog refers to the song "Vacation" by the Go-Go's. I want to get their greatest hits album in the near future.

Thanks Jac, Kass and Lynn for the comments. I also want to say a big hello to my friend Emilie who reads my blog from time to time. I hope you feel better soon. :)

Temporary Insanity

That's how I feel every year around this time. Exams. My first one is tomorrow. I spent the week studying for it, and for 2 of the others. It's hard to motivate oneself to study when it's so nice outside. I spent 2 hours outside to study yesterday. I even got a little sunburn (I turned red), which I didn't expect in April. But the sun is so warm in the spring, more than August that's for sure. So most my days lately are spent studying, eating and sleeping. Not very exciting. I have breaks here and there: watch Gilmore Girls, talk to my guy on the phone, listen to some music. I am taking half the day off (from studying) tomorrow, after I finish writing my exam. It will give me a boost of energy to continue the studying... for the 3 exams I have tuesday, wednesday and thursday next week. So this is why I haven't been blogging much lately.

I received my acceptance letter from the Faculty of Education. I was accepted for the 3 programs I applied to. This is very good news. I also completely passed my french test, which means I will be able to teach français in junior high and high school. Now all I have left to do is repond to their acceptance letter, choose one of the programs, and choose the one class I have as option. Oh, and lets not forget the 200$ deposit I need to pay. Geting educated sure costs a lot. But overall, I am very happy.

I've also been thinking a lot about my Gilmore Girls website (which is back on Google search, thank you very much... 3rd page when you type "gilmore girls"). I'm working on this secret project, and also on a new layout. Things are going great. However, they are on the back burner at the moment... my studies have to come first. I'm hoping for things to start appearing online by the end of the month.

Thanks Jazzy, Kass and Nix for your comments... and patience. I'll try and post again between my exams, if not, after my exams. Joyeuse Pâques!
